Hněvín Castle is a real pearl of Most and the whole Most region. A number of beautiful expositions lined with views of the Mostec Basin and the Krušné Mountains make Hněvín the centre of interest for the inhabitants and visitors of Most.

Literally everyone can find fun at Hněvín. Whether you prefer the view from above, enjoy moments of peace in the shade of the hundred-year-old chestnut trees, or delve into the life story of the alchemist Kelly, you will see that one visit to Hněvín will certainly not be enough.
Lookout tower
Since 1900, visitors to Hněvín Castle can enjoy a bird’s eye view of the landscape from the foothills of the Ore Mountains to the foothills of the Bohemian Central Highlands. A total of 118 steps lead you to a viewing platform at a height of 21 metres, from where you have a truly breathtaking view. The lookout tower is open all year round, from April to October from 9:00-19:00, and in the winter season from 9:00-18:00. Entrance fee 25,-/ 15,-.CZK.
Magister Kelly’s Workshop
Installation now under renovation. Step into the workshop of Master Edward Kelley and discover the tricks of alchemy that led him to the imperial court of Rudolf II. Discover the key moments in Kelley’s life through seven stops that can be transformed and set in motion by your involvement.

Observatory Hněvín
The observatory in the Hněvín area is equipped with a powerful Gustav Heyde refractor, which allows zooming of the observed objects up to 300x and an H-alpha filter for observing the activity of the solar corona. The observatory will be open to the public from May 2023.

Ferrata Hněvín
Try the via ferrata in the area below Hněvín Castle. There are two routes – A for beginners and B for experienced climbers. Both routes are one-way and lead from the old waterworks to the gazebo under the castle.At the end of the ferrata there is another interesting feature – a cave dug by German soldiers during World War II and used as a shelter against air raids.

Restaurant Hněvín. Enjoy life at the castle.
In the spring of 2025 we will be opening a brand new castle restaurant, which was originally opened in 1906. Beautifully renovated castle premises designed by a renowned architectural studio combined with honest Czech cuisine based on traditional recipes guarantee a unique gastronomic experience.
In the pleasant shade of the centuries-old chestnut trees and in the carefully tended gardens, you will find delicious delicacies from local suppliers.
Refreshments at the castle
Enjoy the views of Most with a great cup of DoubleShot coffee in your hand. And we haven’t forgotten about hop and grape lovers either. Even the little ones can enjoy our artisanal ice cream. Until the restaurant is fully operational, a kiosk with top-quality snacks is available. The current menu can be found here.

Entrance to the castle gardens is free of charge, the observation tower costs 15,- / 25,- CZK.

Parking at the castle
There are two car parks near Hněvín Castle. 22 vehicles can park comfortably right in front of the castle. Additional 30 cars can park in the parking lot by the waterworks (about 2 minutes by car or 5-10 minutes on foot).
Barrier-free entry
The gardens of Hněvín Castle, as well as the restaurant, snack bar and toilets are wheelchair accessible. Unfortunately, there is no wheelchair access to the castle tower for structural reasons.
Movement in the castle
Organised groups of children are the responsibility of of their supervisors. The area is monitored by a camera system. n view of the ongoing reconstruction of various parts of the castle, we ask visitors never to enter the construction site, walk on the walls, etc. Entrance to the castle gardens is free of charge, the lookout tower costs 15 and 25 CZK.
Entry with bike or scooter
Please leave your bikes and scooters in the metal rack in front of the castle. We ask visitors to bring their own lock if necessary.
Entry with pets
Ideally on a leash. Basket only if necessary and under the full responsibility of the pet owner.
Consumption of own Food and Beverages
The castle stand offers quite a wide range of alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks and snacks. In case visitors still bring their own snacks, we ask that they consume them outside the area around the stand and the castle tower and that they clean up the packaging afterwards. Consumption of your own alcohol is prohibited in all areas of the castle.
